Welcome
I have been teaching at Portage High School since 1994. During that time, I have taught all grade levels and a variety of courses offered by our English department. I directed Portage High School's fall play for fifteen years. During that time, I volunteered with all of PHS's Thespian productions, including stage managing our spring musical and assitanting in producing Portage's nationally recognized Junior Miss and Outstanding Young Man scholarship programs. I currently teach eleventh-grade English classes that are teamed with U.S. History courses, A.P. Language and Composition, and Film Literature.
Prior to teaching at Portage, I taught business English at a post-secondary proprietary college; I coached swimming and lacrosse and was an academic advisor and an A.P. English teacher at Culver Academies in Culver, IN; and I served as a medic in the U.S. Army.
