Increased parental communication and support is paramount to a successful school culture.  Our "Connecting Parents" newsletter will be the first of many attempts to help our parents stay informed about our school.  On behalf of the entire Portage High School Community, we hope you are engaged and inspired by our programs - built on a strong commitment to excellence. 

PHS is committed to assisting each individual achieve success by promoting academics, self-discipline, responsibility, and a healthy lifestyle.  Now more than ever, your child needs you to be informed and involved in his or her life.  It is our desire that each of you as parents support and encourage your child to get involved in the PHS community through extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.   PHS has much to offer and students who get involved tend to do better academically.
