Greetings! Welcome to Portage Township Schools Department of Career and Technical Education. Portage houses ten of the thirty-five countywide vocational programs in Lake and Porter County. We receive students from all Porter County high schools as well as Hobart School Corp in Lake County. I believe you will find the opportunities comprehensive for all professional areas. Many of our programs offer dual college and high school credit, so while you are working in high school, you are also furthering yourself post secondary. Enrolling in a Career and Technical Education Class will enhance your knowledge to the ins and outs of the profession prior to your attending any college or trade schools. Most of our programs provide immediate placement right out of high school and many of our community partners will assist with a college education.
