 MEDICAL EXCUSES

To be excused from activity, you must bring a note from a doctor. While excused, you may be required to complete written assignments as determined by your teacher. If excused for more than 2 weeks, we will talk with your counselor and make decisions concerning your continued participation in physical education.

If you have a medical condition that your teacher needs to know about, bring in your doctor’s note now. A note from last year does not follow you, you must bring a new one.

You are allowed 3 consecutive days out of the pool per month for your period. These days are to be used for your period only.  During the time out of the water, the student will be involved in physical activity at poolside. The teacher will determine activities. They may include jumping rope, exercises, riding a stationary bike, etc. If the student elects not to dress, or dresses but does not exercise, the student will earn a no dress for that day.

Direct communication with your teacher about this issue will be sufficient.

**All boys and girls are expected to have their P.E. uniforms in their lockers during the swim unit in case there are days when the pool cannot be used.
