The Portage High School Science Department offers 10 one-year laboratory courses, ranging from introductory level to advanced placement level.  All ten courses are CORE 40 courses and will count toward the six science credits required for Indiana's CORE 40 diploma.  Those requirements include two credits in Biology, two credits in Integrated Chemistry Physics or Chemistry I or Physics I, and two credits in any other CORE 40 science class.
