Portage Township Schools staff have developed a comprehensive Back to School Plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Our Back to School Plan is a three-tiered system that provides a framework for school operations based on the community and contact spread of COVID-19. The information below outlines the plan and provides guidance for families, students and staff going into the 2020-2021 school year.

PTS Virtual
PTS Virtual allows students to continue their learning from home. This option allows students to receive academic instruction, social and emotional support, and other assistance from the Portage staff they know and trust. Click here to learn more about PTS Virtual. Sign ups for PTS Virtual for quarter 2 ended September 18. Students will be able to sign up for PTS Virtual for Quarter 3 at a later date.

Decision Making at a Glance

ISDH Quarantine Guidance
The Indiana State Department of Health has issued guidance regarding when to quarantine and/or isolate as a close contact or person with symptoms. Portage Township Schools is following this direction and working with the Porter County Health Department for additional support. Click here to view the ISDH document.
