PACE Virtual Academy informational meeting

Portage Township Schools is proud to announce the launch of PACE Virtual Academy, a new and innovative virtual learning option designed to give students greater flexibility and personalized support as they work toward high school graduation.

PACE — which stands for Personalized, Academics, Customized Excellence — allows students to learn at their own PACE, focusing on one class at a time while earning the credits they need to graduate. The program is powered by Subject.com, a robust online learning platform that offers high-quality, engaging curriculum across all core subject areas and electives.

What sets PACE Virtual Academy apart is its commitment to local support and mentorship. Students enrolled in the program will be guided by Portage-based teacher mentors, who provide assistance and encouragement either virtually or in-person based on each student’s individual needs. This flexible model supports a variety of learners, including those who thrive in nontraditional environments or need an alternative to the standard high school schedule.

To help families learn more, Portage Township Schools will host an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the L3 Lab at Portage High School (enter through Door E). Attendees will hear directly from program staff, explore the platform, and get answers to any questions.

“PACE Virtual Academy is all about empowering students to take charge of their education in a way that works best for them,” PACE principal Jeff King said. “With the right support and flexibility, we believe every student can succeed.”

Families who are unable to attend the informational meeting are encouraged to email [email protected] for more information.
