  • Parents / Guardians of students in grades kindergarten, 3, 6, 9, and 11 will be required to provide residency verification at their students’ school. 
  • Please complete this registration process on a computer/tablet. Phone & mobile device browsers may not display all questions & features.

  • Registration must be completed with the link above.
  • If parents register prior to June 30, please send a picture or scanned copy for PROOF OF RESIDENCY to [email protected]
  • Students in GRADES K, 3, 6, 9 and 11 must prove residency.
  • July 1 - All students that did not register will now be required to register as "NEW STUDENTS". This means that all sections for registration will need to be completed, rather than simply updating.
  • After completing the online registration, you must prove residency. Visit (Completing Registration) below for full details on valid residency verification and complete the registration process.
  • New students must provide a Birth Certificate and Social Security card so we can place them on record.
  • To help determine class registration and placement, please provide a copy of your child's latest school transcript or report card from their previous school.
  • To determine which school your child/children will attend, please email us at [email protected] and give them your address for information on what elementary and/or middle school your child will attend.
  • All students in grades 9-12 will attend Portage High School.

You may scan copies of your ID, along with other 2 other items for proof of residency. Email your copies to

Please be sure to provide any documentation requested through the pre-registration process as well as documentation to prove residency. You must provide a drivers license or state/Federal photo ID and two of the following:

  • Current Lease Agreement
  • Current Mortgage papers
  • Current NIPSCO bill with current address
  • Current Water bill and/or sewer bill with current address
  • Current Bill with the home mailing address
  • Indiana Department of Education form I, II, or III (form can be picked up at child’s school) if applicable

We are also offering families the option of paying for registration fees online with a credit card, debit card, or electronic check. As always, you will also have the option of paying by check or cash at the schools when you complete your registration. Credit and Debit card payments will ONLY be accepted online.
