Portage Township Schools is committed to making all information on this website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. PTS’s accessibility policy is based on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The policy requires:
- Providing text equivalents for images
- Creating accessible forms
- Insuring sites are functional without a mouse
PTS makes available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows PTS to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0).The PTS accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the corner of the page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.
Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on PTS fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
If you have problems accessing a page on this site, please email the Webmaster at Webmaster@portage.k12.in.us to report information on pages that you are unable to access.
In addition, you may also file a formal grievance with the department’s Section 504 and Title II coordinator by calling 219-762-6511, or sending a letter to the following address:
