Portage Township Schools
Educating, Empowering, & Inspiring Excellence

We believe each child is unique, and it is our responsibility to provide the best education possible in an environment that is challenging, caring, and inviting. Our school community is committed to education, and this commitment is evident in the programs and opportunities available to our children. Portage's reputation for excellence in academics, the fine arts, and extracurricular programs is highly distinguished and renowned. Our focus on the whole child means students are educated to become successful, productive citizens who are critical thinkers and who exhibit strong moral character. Our goal is to help each child reach their fullest potential. We believe that children learn best when educators develop meaningful relationships with both students and their parents.

We promote connections with the wider community through our involvement with the Portage Chamber of Commerce, Portage Economic Development Corporation, the Portage Township YMCA, the Portage and South Haven Boys & Girls Clubs, the Portage and South Haven Public Libraries, the City of Portage, Ogden Dunes, South Haven, and Portage Township as a whole. We believe in working together for the benefit of our children and families.
