E-Learning Days

Portage Township Schools hosts e-learning days that allow our staff to conduct important professional development and school business while learning takes place from home. PTS students in grades K-12 will be provided with a device to complete their e-learning day activities.

2022-2023 E-Learning Schedules
Elementary: Students will attend school in-person from 7:55 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. and complete their classwork from home in the afternoon. Transportation will be provided, and lunch will be offered.
Middle & High School: Students will remain at home. They will complete independent assignments in the morning and join live Google Meets in the afternoon. Principals will provide students with their e-learning virtual schedule prior to the e-learning day.

2022-2023 E-Learning Calendar
All students will participate in e-learning days on the first Wednesday of each month as indicated on the school year calendar. Any inclement weather days (snow, ice, frigid temperatures, etc.) will be a no-school day and made up at the end of the school year.

Please use the Schoology link below to complete eLearning Day homework.
Please email or message your teacher if you have any questions. For all technology-related issues and questions, please contact your child's school.

Internet access is available!

  • Our schools have T-Mobile Hot Spots available for our families. This is a great option for families who either need internet access or need increased connectivity on e-learning days. Call you child's school and speak with the Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) for more information on how to check out a hot spot.
  • Each PTS school provides sidewalk-to-sidewalk internet access at no cost. Families are welcome to park in our lots or sit on a bench on e-learning days to complete work. All school-issued devices will automatically connect to our internet.
