Portage Township Schools is happy to work with our community partners to enhance the learning experience for our students. We do permit our local organizations to distribute flyers to our students in the following ways:
  • Printed by the organization and approved by our Central Office staff
  • Uploaded to our Peachjar page and emailed to all families

All flyers must be approved by our Associate Superintendent prior to distribution and meet the following criteria:
  • The organization must be advertising an event or program that meets a curricular need for the students of Portage Township Schools.
  • The flyer must be free of profanity, nudity, and references to drugs, alcohol, and related paraphernalia.

Peachjar
Community organizations are welcome to use our Peachjar service. Peachjar emails flyers directly to parents, allowing your organization to decrease paper usage and possibly increase participation with your organization. Email a copy of your flyer for approval to ptscommunications@portage.k12.in.us. Once approved, visit www.peachjar.com, create an account, and upload your flyer. Organizations promoting free events and services may use the service for free; those charging an entrance or enrollment fee will be charged $25 per school. Multi-school discounts are available.

Each school year, families must communicate their preference on sharing their child's name and/or photo in any district- or school-sponsored media. This is our Directory Disclosure, and it is completed during the registration process each spring. Families who opt out of the Directory Disclosure will not have their child's name or photo shared in any school-sponsored publications, including newsletters, social media outlets, and district marketing materials. If you have opted out of the Directory Disclosure in error, please call your child's school and speak with the school secretary.
