Congratulations to 20 of our PTS band students from Willowcreek Middle School and Portage High School that were selected recently to participate in the IBA All-Region & All-District Honor Bands in November! The IBA All-Region Honor Band consists of outstanding 7th-9th grade musicians selected from around Northwest Indiana, and the All-District Honor Band is made up of outstanding 9th-12th grade students chosen from high schools throughout Northwest Indiana.
All-Region Honor Band students will rehearse and perform here at Portage High School on November 14th & 15th, under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Doebler from Valparaiso University. All-District Honor Band students will be rehearsing and performing at Kankakee Valley High School on November 21st & 22nd, under the direction of Mr. Michael Flanagin from Indiana Wesleyan University.
